Cheap, easy and healthy. Three things I can get behind.
That’s exactly what making your own laundry detergent is.
Run-of-the-mill laundry detergent is loaded with chemicals like sulfates, fragrances and phenols. Many brands contain petroleum distillates, which are linked to cancer and lung disease.
Be that Susie homemaker you know is in you, and whip up a batch of laundry detergent.
All you need is 3 ingredients:
Washing Soda
Borax
Soap of Choice (natural)

In a big ol’ bowl mix 2 cups washing soda, 2 cups Borax.
Grate a bar of soap or mix in food processor until finely ground. Use the soap of your choice. I used Yardley Oatmeal and Almond Soap. It’s natural and smells delicious.

Add to the bowl and combine.

Store in a closed container.

Use 1/8 to 1/4 cup per load of laundry.
It all comes out in the wash.
