Buzz Lightyear made the cut for this years Halloween costume. And who doesn’t love the handsome, naïve space ranger?
I went off the cuff and used my kiddos Buzz Lightyear toy as a model.
I created the costume using mainly cardboard and foam.

Most of the materials can be found at Micheals except the backer rod (tubing for the waist), which I bought from Home Depot.
Materials Used:
- A white long-sleeve shirt
- White tights
- Hot glue gun
- Heavy duty craft glue
- Red, Blue, White, Lime Green and Green Foam
- Cardboard
- Heavy duty Velcro
- Boots
- Purple Beanie
- Scissors
- Razor Blade

For the boots I found cheap camouflage boots and spray painted them white. I added lime green duct tape to the toe and top. White boots are better but was unable to find any.
I found a purple beanie at the thrift store and cut it to size.
The Buzz Lightyear icons were printed off the internet and glued on to the costume. Don’t forget the laser! Velcro on the arm.

Use Velcro to secure the wings and the front of the costume.

My son already wore his costume out in Ybor City (Florida) and was a HUGE hit.
The costume can be tailored to an adult or child.
Happy Halloween.
“To infinity and beyond!”
